Shirley Jackson Studies is edited and run by three dedicated academics—Jill, Emily, and Miranda. They have come together to create this open access journal, driven by a shared belief that knowledge should be freely available to all and that Jackson’s work deserves its own venue.
They’ve poured their time, expertise, and energy into curating this peer-reviewed research without the barriers of paywalls or subscription fees. But maintaining a journal isn’t free: hosting costs, editorial tools, and review management all require resources they simply can’t cover on passion alone. Jill, Emily, and Miranda volunteer their time to run the journal and have been hosting this site with no institutional support or dues.
They’re not seeking profits–just support to keep their work sustainable and accessible. All donations will go directly to defray the cost of hosting the site.
Any donation helps them continue providing Jackson scholarship to the world.
